HTTPS
« on: September 23, 2016, 11:27:25 AM »
My host just sent me an e-mail offering me a free SSL certificate for one of my domain.  I went ahead and ordered it for k6usy.net so this site will soon be fully encrypted for no good reason.  But it will be fun!

This website is now secure and running HTTPS. :-)  Any traffic going to HTTP is will redirected to HTTPS automatically.

The big plus is this means your passwords are being encrypted in transit to the server.

wow there are so many dumb things you run into moving a website to HTTPS, like the  :) 8) :o not loading over HTTPS and having to find the setting to change that.  Browsers freak out when a secure site tries to load stuff over HTTP at the same time.
