Only 1 out of the 4 cars I previously owned have made it to sale... But that was after I had replaced the whole transmission.

Even more interesting, the last one that got totaled was actually parked in front of a house I was staying at. It was some older lady's brand new Yaris versus my 1995 tank-like Volvo - she slammed into it so hard that it hopped the curb and hit a telephone pole despite the E-brake being on. Her car's front end was straight up *demolished* while I could still drive mine around just fine with no damage to anything under the hood (they just declared it totaled because the body work would've been more than the car was worth, and the check I got ended up being almost 3X what I originally paid for it).
