Automatic or Manual

What do your prefer, Automatic or Manual.

I currently drive an automatic. I would like to drive a manual. I'd like to have 35mpg at some point in the city.

Some of the newer cars out there get better MPG with the automatic.

That's because they're not automatic per se. CVT(continuously variable transmission) is an interesting thing. Similar to an automatic but instead of gears and such it's a belt and pulley system. The pulleys change ratios for acceleration and efficiency.

Yeah, CVTs are weird.

But they are VERY cool.

Current car is auto, but personally prefer manual.

Auto is best when I have food in the car.
Manual for when I tackling the corners. 

Overall, I can compromise for a sequential transmission. lol

I have never learned how to drive a car with a manual transmission, and I have been driving for nearly half a century.
