Looking at https://auctions.ipv4.global/prior-sales data, it looks like the typical price for an IPv4 /24 went from about $23/adr last August to $46/adr so far this month (August).

I knew the prices of IPv4 addresses would have to go up (limited supply, increasing demand), but I was expecting a more gentle rise, not the hockey stick rise I saw in a graph on Reddit.

That's crazy, hopefully is convinces more people to switch. Things will get interesting around $100/adr.

I'm not on Reddit anymore but I do still check that sub from time to time.

I wonder how long we would have to wait for that. On 26-Aug-2021 an IPv4 /21 sold for $122,880.00, or $60.00 per IPv4 address.

Smaller allocations (/22, /23) since then have been running in the $45-$47 range, which seems more typical this time, but the graph on page https://auctions.ipv4.global/prior-sales shows three spikes in the month (the $60.00 per IPv4 address being the most recent), which feels like the demand for IPv4 addresses is exceeding availability and the price of smaller allocations should be going up, too.
